Swinging For Our Troops Overseas!

Good Afternoon Coaches and Families,

As part of our Swinging For Our Troops Overseas event, we are asking all teams and families to help us support our United States Military members stationed overseas.

Blue Star Mothers Chapter 7 will collect all player letters and care packages and ship them directly to our troops overseas.

Please see the list below of requested donation items. Individual packages are preferred. Please do not bring large bagged items.

• Canned Boiled Peanuts
• Canned Fruit
• Canned Ravioli
• Cracker Jacks
• Peanut Butter or Cheese Crackers
• Granola Bars / Energy Bars
• Gum
• Small Louisiana Seasonings such as Tony’s (No Glass)
• Liquid Drink Mixes (Mio, hydration types)
• Individual Peanut Butter Packs
• Powdered Drink Mixes (Crystal Light, Gatorade, Propel)
• Rice Krispy Treats
• Sardines
• Sunflower Seeds
• Trail Mix
• Tuna or Chicken Packs with Crackers
• Vienna Sausage

• Small American Flags
• Card Games
• Crossword Puzzles / Word Searches
• Mechanical Pencils
• Small Board Games
• Small Nerf Balls

PLAYER LETTERS

We ask that every player take the time to write one letter to an anonymous service member stationed overseas explaining what their service means to them.

• Please place letters in a sealed envelope
• Include a return address so troops can correspond back if they choose
• Players may include social media information if desired for correspondence
